The Spineshaker crew was lucky enough to see ill-esha perform live at the Jungle Room this weekend. The place was packed, and was warmed up by DJ Morgan Tedder (search Spineshaker for "Tedder"). Ill-esha's live act is unique, as she not only DJ's but sings incredibly well. Furthermore, many of the tracks she spins are self-produced. This mix highlights some of her peers, but also includes 2 of her tracks. She also sings on tracks 1,3,15 and 20. She plays all styles of broken beat and has performed in over 35 international cities with names like De La Soul, Andy C, Dieselboy, Too Short, Hype, LTJ Bukem. A featured DJ on CBC and CTV, shes also spun on MTV Canada in between touring North America and debuting in Taiwan at the Heineken Music Festival.
