Crystal A'dare (formerly known as Boom Box Betty) is a native of Vancouver and is known as the city's Tribal Queen. Before deciding to become a a DJ she spent 10 years involved in music, dance and the performing arts, including 8 years of jazz dance which comes in handy behind the decks. She got her start playing for private parties and corporate events in and around Vancouver and has progressed to residencies in some of Vancouver's hottest night spots including Red Room and Sonar, as well as the city's most prestigous after-hours club, Gorg-o-mish. She has held residencies at Nectar, Ultra Lounge, and Corona Bar in Cancun, and at Mamita's Beach Club in Playa del Carmen during her time in Mexico. She has since gone on to play alongside Ibiza sensation Robb Marmott, and opened for Marques Wyatt, Julias Papp, and DJ Diamond (Playboy DJ). She also recieved First Place in the Kokanee Fresh Tracks Female DJ Competition. While DJ Crystal is well known for her Tribal sets, she complements this with Sexy Vocal House, Spanish House, Electro and she always has the freshest Mashups. Crystal's presence behind the decks is one of a kind. Her colorful personality and musical intuition give her the ability to create an amazing vibe that ensures the dance floor stays packed until dawn.
